Rapture of the Church
Do You believe in it?
Is the Rapture a Form of God’s Judgment?
There are many teachings about the Rapture of the Church. The Bible makes it very clear that one day Jesus will return and gather up all those who are saved and take them to Heaven to live with Him forever. But . . . when will that be? There are many different and even inconsistent views. What are the facts and what are simply opinions?
YES! I believe that the Rapture is a form of God's Judgment! He removes the righteous to Heaven so they do not have to go through the Tribulation . . . and He leaves those who reject Christ as Saviour and Lord on Earth for the Tribulation Period.
I believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture view. To me, it is the only one that makes any sense! This “gathering up” of TRUE Christians will happen before God’s judgment falls upon the world in a seven-year time period foretold by Daniel and known as the Tribulation.
I have several reasons, all founded on the belief that the Bible is the ACTUAL Word of God, that it should always be interpreted literally, and that it is firmly rooted in Jesus’ Promise that He shall return. Jesus does NOT lie!
(1). The Rapture and Second Coming are different events.
https://www.hisservants.org/rapture,_second_coming_h_s.htm
Some claim that the Rapture and Second Coming are the exact same event . . . they are NOT the same event! No way! And they do not occur at the very end of the Tribulation, which is the Post-Tribulation Rapture view. IF you read all the verses speaking of Christ’s Return and you will SEE two very different situations. The verses actually describe Christ’s return happening in two stages . . . the Rapture (Jn. 14:1-14; I Cor. 15:51-58; 1 Thes. 4:13-18) and later the Second Coming (Zec. 14:1-21; Mk. 13:24-27; Lk. 21:25-27; Rev. 19) . . . they are separated by a period of time.
(2). The Rapture COULD occur at any time WITHOUT WARNING. Jesus clearly stated: Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. (KJV)
Dear one, Jesus shall arrive in the clouds at a time when no one is expecting Him. Not expecting? The Second Coming is preceded by exactly seven (7) years (to the day). Such horrific events . . . such as the rise of the Antichrist, plagues, wars and devastating earthquakes which destroy most of the world? The Rapture happens imminently and without warning, while the Second Coming shall be preceded by seven years’ of overwhelming signs. There is NO way the two can possibly be the same event.
(3). The Rapture removes the Restrainer. The Bible tells us that God’s restraining influence will be taken away when the Antichrist rises to power. 2 Thes. 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (KJV)
Our Lord Jesus restrains the evil of this world today through the TRUE Church today. https://www.godcannotlie.org/true_children_of_god.htm
SO . . . when the TRUE Church is removed [raptured], before the Antichrist’s seven-year reign begins, think how much more the mystery of iniquity will be more prominent. Satan will certainly be happy.
(4). The Tribulation Period is to redeem Israel. Jeremiah 30 describes the Tribulation as the “time of Jacob’s trouble.” Jer. 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. (KJV) https://www.godcannotlie.org/Jeremiah_ch.30.htm
Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (KJV)
Revelation 12 reveals Israel fleeing from the Antichrist’s persecutions. And, the Battle of Armageddon pits all the nations of the world against Israel (Zec.12:2-3). Israel is repeatedly the focal point of the Tribulation and the center of God’s work of redemption, not the Church. Keep your eye on Israel, and pray for them.
(5). After Revelation Chapter 4, the Church is missing on Earth during the Tribulation. Like the Flood, which some deny, the Tribulation stands as God’s second greatest judgment upon a rebellious world. It is the Holy wrath of God. Yes, believers have endured suffering all through history, but never like these two incidents from God’s wrath. In Revelation 3, God confirms that Christians are promised NEVER to have to endure the Tribulation, proven by the fact that there is NO mention whatsoever of the Church throughout the rest of the Book of Revelation. Chapters 6-18 describe all the events of the Tribulation. Scriptures that tell us TRUE believers will not go through the Tribulation. Rev. 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (KJV) 1 Thes. 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. (KJV) 1 Thes. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (KJV)
(6). The Church shall be quite busy in Heaven during the Tribulation. While the Earth faces God’s judgments, the Bible reveals the Church will be busy in Heaven involved in three events: first, a judgment for rewards:
https://www.lastdaysprophecy.org/L_D_judgment_seat.htm
second, the glorious Marriage Supper of the Lamb:
https://hisservants.org/marriage_supper_of_the_lamb_h_s.htm
and third, preparing to return to Earth with Jesus:
https://www.lastdaysprophecy.org/L_D_1000_years.htm
https://www.lastdaysprophecy.org/L_D_millennial_kingdom.htm
(7). The Millennial Kingdom must be repopulated. If all the Tribulation believers are raptured up to Heaven at the Second Coming and given glorified bodies, bodies which like the angels cannot reproduce (Mat. 22:30; Mk. 12:25), WHO would be left to repopulate the Earth during the Millennial Kingdom? The Rapture CANNOT possibly be Post-Tribulation, for no more children would be born.
(8). God’s wrath in the Tribulation lasts the whole seven years. Some claim God’s wrath is poured out in just a few of the seven years of the Tribulation, so the Rapture must occur three and a half years or more into the Tribulation. The Mid-Trib and Pre-Wrath Rapture opinions seem to forget that Christ Jesus Himself breaks the seals which launch ALL of Revelation’s Judgments. The final Seven Bowl Judgments are said to END the wrath of God, NOT to begin His wrath. Since all these judgments are presented by Jesus Himself, God’s wrath lasts the entire seven years, wrath the Church is promised NOT to have to endure these seven years (Rev.3:10).
(9). Faithful people were removed from God’s wrath. Enoch was raptured BEFORE the Flood. Noah and his family were removed FROM the floodwaters. Lot and his family were sent away from Sodom and Gomorrah BEFORE God burned those wicked cities. Rahab and her family were SET ASIDE when Joshua’s army invaded Jericho. It is generally believed that Both Enoch and Elijah were translated [raptured], without dying, into Heaven. Gen. 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. (KJV) 2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (KJV)
If we use the Bible ruling that a matter is established on the testimony of 2 or 3 witnesses, the experiences of Enoch and Elijah can be cited to prove the validity of the Rapture of the Church. Both went directly into the Presence of the Lord without dying first. Deut. 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
(KJV) Again and again, the Bible shows God removing believers from His wrath, instead of making them suffer through it.
(10). The Pre-Tribulation Rapture opinion is NOT new, NOT according to the Word of God! The Pre-Tribulation Rapture view is a re-awakening of the long-ignored teachings of the Lord Jesus and His Apostles. What is much more important than us understanding end-times views . . . is WHERE we stand in our salvation! Only faith in Christ Jesus and His precious shed Blood (1 Pet.1:18-19) will one day lead us upwards to be with our Lord and Saviour forever. Will YOU be a part of the Rapture? IF you have called God a “liar” and rejected Jesus as Saviour, you shall be left behind to endure the Tribulation? The choice is totally in YOUR hands! 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
