Introduction

Yesterday, I had a woman write to me, and her letter floored me! I will enclose a portion of it.
“I’m having a hard time right now. I’m agnostic, I understand that means you’re unsure if there is a God or not, correct? . . . . . . I think it’s going to take a lot for me to believe in God again. There’s just too much I question, don’t believe and scoff.”
         
It didn’t take me long to realize that this was God speaking to me . . . through this letter. If this person feels this way . . . there must be thousands out there in the same boat! To be “agnostic” is to be a skeptic, doubting that there is truly a God. It is unbelief. It is actually calling God a “liar” (1 John 5:10) because you refuse to believe what God states in His Holy Word, about Himself and His Son.
         
I realize there is NO way that I can write such a book, proving there is a God, without His wisdom and guidance. My meager knowledge and wisdom just cannot do it!  I have never felt like this woman. I have always believed that there is a God. He is very real to me. I feel His Presence always, and He guides and directs me in all that I do, giving me strength and courage to get through some incredibly difficult situations. It really saddens me that this person does not have the peace and contentment that only God can give. I pray that God give her light to see Him!

How Do I Know There Is A God?
Chapter 1

I will start this book differently than all my others. I simply want to state what this awesome Deity means to me, and why I KNOW that He does exist.
         
There has never been any doubt that God exists in my mind. And I am so grateful for that. Doubting there is a God must be a heavy burden to carry, for I believe that we have a deep void within that needs to be filled . . . and only God can fill it. You may say “I don’t believe there is a God,” but your soul argues with you because of that “emptiness” within, for it desperately desires to be filled.
         
I cannot open the Bible and bring you anything that would prove to you that God exists. What I will state in this booklet is:

• #1 my own past and personal experiences; some of which I have never told anyone but my husband before.
• #2 miracles that only God could possibly do.
• #3 prophecies and their fulfillment that only God Himself could possibly have predicted (sometimes years before their fulfillment).

         
As a child, I loved nature . . . all the wondrous beauty that God created. I was always outdoors, and always with animals. In my childhood, I didn’t “see” God, or know He was there. But now as I look back, I can see He NEVER left me. So many times He got me out of some extremely dangerous and life threatening situations. I didn’t “see” it then, but I “see” it clearly now! I was always training something . . . dogs, horses. My grandfather had the big Belgian horses that he farmed with. He didn’t believe in tractors. I was always teaching them something. I guess I was born with this deep desire to teach. I guess that is why God called me to teach His Word.
         
One day when I finally got a saddle horse of my own, I was teaching him to be ridden without a bridle. I was doing great until he ran off, toward the barn. I had left the barn door open. I just knew I would be killed when he ran into the barn. But, God shut the door! No one else was around! Not my grandma, not grandpa, not my aunt or her husband! You decide! Is there really a God?
         
Another day I had ridden down to my friend’s house. I was a teen ager at the time. Her barn was down over a bank. She took the shortcut to the barn, I rode around the road. This particular horse, not the same one as above, didn’t have a brain in his head! Red bolted at something, headed for the barn, and that door was open! Joyce saw what had happened and ran for the barn. She got the little door shut just in time! That crazy animal smacked into the barn with his head and the whole barn shook at the impact. You decide . . . was God looking after me that day? Is there really a God?
         
Another day I was riding this same crazy horse. I had gone to visit my mom, about 12 miles or so away from my grandparent’s farm. On the way home, that crazy horse spooked at something (or nothing). He didn’t need an excuse to run off. Right down the yellow line on the highway! It was impossible to stop him when he ran off. He could have slipped and fallen, a car or big coal truck could have come and killed us both. You decide. Was it God helping me out of that situation? Is there a God?
         
One evening my dad stopped by the farm. I don’t remember why, but he wanted me to go to my parents’ house. I had ridden that same crazy horse quite a bit that day, but I decided to ride him over there that evening. He was tired when I got there, but he would have all night to rest up. I could go back in the morning. Well, it didn’t work out that way. I was a hot-headed kid, and very stubborn. My dad and I got into a fight, and I saddled up and headed home to the farm. By then it was dark.
I had tried to teach this horse to rear up on his hind legs many times. I never got it done. I don’t think he was strong enough in his back quarters. I was about 2 miles from the farm when a car came up from behind me, and a bunch of guys jumped out and grabbed my horse. It happened so fast, I didn’t have time to be scared. What happened next, I will never forget. That tired little horse . . . that I could never teach to rear, reared up straight and high, front feet striking at those men. There was a steep hill to the right, up off the highway into the woods. I headed Red up that bank and he and I went into the woods. Those evil minded jokers got in their car and left. You decide. Do you think that God kept me from being gang raped that night? I know what I think, what I know! I know that horse could NEVER have done what he did that night, even when he was not tired, in his own strength. I know that God was there with me that night, and gave Red the power to do what he did. Only God could have saved me that night.
         
One other incident I will put down before I stop telling you about my personal encounters with this awesome Being, Almighty God. I have stated this in several other booklets, but it needs to be here as well.
When I was a kid, the winters got cold there in Pennsylvania, and when it snowed, the snow laid on the ground all winter. I was little (before school) . . . I was riding my sled on a little bank at the farm. At the foot of that little hill was an old hand dug well. Down the hill I went, right into the well. At that exact moment, my aunt just happened to be walking by on her way to the barn. She saw what had happened and reached in and pulled me out. What are the chances of her walking by at the EXACT moment that I went into that well? One in 100? One in 1000? One in 10,000? I don’t know. If anyone is agnostic, it is my aunt! She is a heathen to this day. WHO pulled me out of that well? It was my aunt’s hands, but God had her there at exactly the precise time. God pulled me out! Is there a God? YES! There is absolutely NO doubt whatsoever in my mind!
         
Some people will say: “You were just lucky!” I don’t believe in “luck.” I personally believe that God knows everything, and that He is in control of everything! Especially when it concerns His people.
Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. (KJV) . . . My friend, everything God has ever said will happen has come true! He knows everything about the future before it happens.
         
Even though I was not His child when any the above things happened, He knew that one day I would finally open the door of my heart to Jesus. He was right. It was many years after this that both Paul and I finally accepted Christ as our Saviour and Lord. God is extremely patient! I praise Him for that and much more.
Ephes. 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (KJV) . . . God chose me to be His child long before He made the world. I simply CANNOT comprehend this awesome fact, but I do believe it! I believe God gives ALL people (everyone) the chance to be His child, but He also gives people a free will. We can choose to follow Jesus or we can reject Him and go our own way. I went my own way for a long time. It is OUR decision what we do with our life. I think this time on Earth is our time to decide where we will spend eternity.
         
I realize that agnostics (skeptics, unbelievers) also do not believe our soul is eternal. And they do not believe in a literal, eternal Hell. The Bible is very clear on both these subjects. The soul is absolutely eternal and shall spend eternity in one of two places: Heaven OR Hell! I recently saw a church sign: “Life has many choices. Eternity has only two.” When God created the Universe, He also created Hell.
Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (KJV) . . . Jesus states here that Hell (everlasting fire) was prepared for the devil and his angels. But IF a person continues to doubt, reject, forsake and rebel against God, they are the devil’s children and they will go where their father the devil goes.
1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. (KJV)
Ephes. 2:1-2 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (KJV) . . . We all are born with a sinful nature, inherited from our parents Adam and Eve, and we actually stay the devil’s children until we believe that there is a God, and believe what He states in His Holy Word. We are spiritually dead, doomed forever because of our many sins.
Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (KJV) . . . We are sinners from the moment our mothers conceived us.
Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. (KJV) . . . The wicked are the devil’s children, those who refuse to believe that God exists, and believe and accept His Son, Jesus (1 John 5:10-12). We ALL are born sinners. From birth we have lied and gone our own way. We obey Satan, for his spirit is hard at work in the hearts of those who refuse to believe and obey God. We have NO hope without God and His Son, Jesus.

I would like to add one other thing about my personal experience with God. This one includes my husband. There are others as well, but I will just include this one. This is about money.
One Sunday morning in church, the Gideons made a surprise visit. The pastor would always say, “Next week the Gideons will be here.” Not this time. We always gave a sizable amount because we believed in the work they did. Paul quietly said to me “What will we do?” I told him, “God knows how much we give, let Him worry about it.” At that time we had a large bill for horse shoing supplies that was due. I wrote out the check to the Gideons.
         
Paul shod horses (a farrier). We did not gamble, but his customers sure did! The next morning at the diner, there were many who came up to him and paid him what they owed him. Sundays they raced their horses at “brush tracks” (anything goes). Horses won that should never have won. Paul took in a substantial amount of money from what people owed him. God did take care of it, ever so nicely!
         
I have seen God work in my life, time and time again. I have felt His awesome Presence when I have been troubled or in pain. Several years ago, I got shingles. Anyone who knows what that is, knows how extremely painful that can be. I had it in my head. One night, the pain was so severe, I couldn’t stand it. I went to Him in prayer. I simply told Him to please give me some relief, or take me home. He answered my prayer immediately! The pain did NOT go completely away, but, I could at least tolerate it. Was it God that heard my prayer? Who else could it have been? You decide!

The Creation   Chapter 2

Many people believe in evolution. I do not. I believe the Bible, because I believe that it was God the Holy Spirit inspiring men to write His Words. I truly believe that happened, and I believe that the Holy Spirit still inspires people today. How do I know this? Simple. Since about 1994 or 1995, God has been giving me poems. I am NOT a poet. I cannot sit down and write a poem. He has to give me the words. I am simply His willing servant, and I jot down the words He so graciously gives me. The poems are His poems, not mine.

Creation According to God

Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (KJV) 
Genesis 1:6-8 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. [7] And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. [8] And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. (KJV)

The Heavens (firmament)

God tells us here that the earth was a dark, empty, formless mass until He separated vast amounts of water. Some of the water He placed in the heavens (firmament). The great amounts of water in outer space seemed impossible until recently. Scientists have absolutely proven that enormous amounts of water do exist in space, just as the Bible stated. This water is in the form of ice. Job spoke of it thousands of years ago.
Job 38:29-30 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it? [30] The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. (KJV) . . . Job asks who is the mother of the ice? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens? The water freezes and turns to ice as hard as rock.   
Job 38:22-23 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, [23] Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? (KJV) . . . God said He was reserving the storehouses of the snow and hail for times of trouble. God used hail to help Joshua and the Israelites win a battle (Joshua 10:11). Just as armies keep and use weapons in war, God has ALL the forces of nature in His control.
The Earth
Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. (KJV) . . . The true theory of the Earth is that it suspends in empty space . . . it hangs on nothing. If we will just look around us, the earth, the heavens and oceans, we see His almighty power. If we consider Hell below, though out of our sight, we can imagine the extent of God’s power there. If we look up to heaven above at night, we see amazing displays of God’s almighty power. The emptiness in the direction of the north of our solar system, proves Job was right . . . OR . . .  was it God who was right?

Lights in the Firmament

Genesis 1:14-18 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: [15] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. [16] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. [17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, [18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. (KJV) . . . The Moon moves around the Earth in an oval-shaped orbit. Its distance from the Earth varies between 356,000 and 407,000 km (221,000 and 253,000 mi.) in the course of each month; the average distance is 384,400 km (238,900 mi.), less than 1% of the distance to Venus and Mars, even at the time of their closest approach.
         
The period in which the Moon completes an orbit around the Earth and returns to the same position in the sky is 27 days, 7 hr, 43 min, and 11.6 sec. Because the Earth is moving in its orbit around the Sun in the same direction as the Moon, the time needed to return to the same phase, the synodic month is longer: 29 days, 12 hr, 44 min, and 2.8 sec. After much research and dollars, NASA states the time between new moons is 29.530588 days.  In addition to its motion through space, the Moon also rotates around its axis in a period of one sidereal month, so that it keeps approximately the same side toward the Earth at all times. A sidereal day = 23 hours, 56 min.4.09 sec. (about 4 min. shorter that a solar day). Distance from Earth = 398,115 km; 238,869 mi; rotation period (in Earth time): 27 days.

The Pleiades

Amos 5:8 Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name: (KJV) . . . Pleiades (seven stars) is also called the Seven Sisters. It is a galactic star cluster about 424 light-years away. This verse puzzled astronomers because there were only six stars that could be seen with the naked eye for many years. But with telescopes, they saw the seventh star, just as was recorded by Amos 2500 years ago. For thousands of years, navigators have staked lives on the reliability of the stars. But, the precise arrangement, accuracy and constancy of the heavens should make us look beyond the stars to their Creator, which most people don’t even consider.

Job 9:9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. (KJV) . . . Arcturus is in the constellation Boštes, is the third-brightest star in Earth’s sky. It is a red giant. Arcturus is more than 20 times wider than the Sun and about 100 times brighter. Arcturus is Greek for “guardian of the bear.” The Bear (Arcturus), Orion, and Pleiades all are constellations of stars. Arcturus always revolves around the pole, and never sets. The Chaldeans and Arabs, thousands of years ago named the stars and grouped them in constellations. They often traveled and tended their flocks by night, so they would naturally do so, especially as the rise and setting of some stars marked the different seasons.
Job 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? (KJV) . . . Orion, the Hunter, is the most spectacular and one of the most easily recognized constellations in the sky. The stars represent the figure of a warrior holding a shield in his left hand and a club in his right. The variable red star Betelgeuse, one of the largest stars known, marks his right shoulder, Bellatrix his left shoulder, and Saiph and Rigel his two legs. The constellation is located near the celestial equator and can be seen from the Northern Hemisphere during the winter. Orion is Hebrew for “the fool.” Orion appears constrained with “bands.” The old legend represented this star as a hero, who arrogantly rebelled against God, and so was a fool. Orion was then chained in the sky as punishment. It rises only at the stormy period of the year.

I know NOTHING about astronomy. What I have written here on this subject, comes from an encyclopedia. Astronomy attempts to define the science of the heavens since its beginnings. Personally, I prefer the Bible. That, I do know to some extent, and feel very comfortable with what God tells me in it. What I am trying to show you in this booklet, is that there absolutely is a God! HOW could all these lights of heaven have stayed in absolute and perfect alignment, and stay in accurate and constant precision, all these thousands of years? They have to be under the absolute and complete control of Him who created them! There is a God! Who else could possibly be this wise and powerful?

Seas

Job 38:8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? (KJV) . . . Who ordered the boundaries of the sea? Who could possibly do this? Only One . . . GOD!
Job 38:16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? (KJV) . . . Have you explored the springs from which the seas come? Have you walked about and explored their depths? WHO could possibly have set boundaries for the seas? Only God! The waters go only within the limits.
Jeremiah 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? (KJV) What is your attitude when you come into God’s Presence? Do you come with fear and trembling (awe and respect). God is an awesome Being and Creator who sets the boundaries of the roaring seas and establishes the rains and harvests.
 

OUR CREATOR, GOD!

I will bring some other verses about our God. 
Psalm 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. (KJV) 
Proverbs 8:29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: (KJV) . . . Only GOD could set the limits of the seas, so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. Only GOD could determine and establish the Earth’s foundations. 
Jeremiah 31:35-37 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: [36] If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. [37] Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord. (KJV) . . . This Passage is speaking of the Jews. God is saying here that they are here to stay! Can you provide the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night? NO! Only God can do that. Can you stir the sea into roaring waves? NO! Only God can do that. Can you measure the heavens, can you explore the foundations of the Earth? NO! Only God can do that. Can you order the laws of nature to cease, or to change in any way? NO! Only God can do that. He is the Lord God Almighty, and He states that when you (or anyone else) can do these things, it is only then will He reject His people Israel. God has the power to both do away with the laws of nature, and His people. But He will do neither. This is not a prediction; it’s a Promise. God will NEVER reject Israel any more than He will do away with nature’s laws. Neither will happen!

Miracles, Who Did Them?
Chapter 3

A miracle is an event in our world brought about by the simple choice of God. It is an incident that is above nature and man. It shows the intervention of a supernatural power that is not limited by any laws.  The simple truth is that the Universe is not under the exclusive control of physical forces, but that always and everywhere there is a separate, superior Being who can supersede, direct and control ALL physical causes, and He can act with or without them.
         
So, a miracle is an event happening within our human experience in which the operations of nature seem to be overruled or left hanging. The Jews thought miracles were signs of God’s almighty power. Many events recorded in the Old Testament are considered miracles. One is the Jews’ Exodus from Egypt, for it became the symbol of all God’s deliverances in history. Miracles is what we will discuss in this chapter. I will touch on just a few of the many that are recorded.
Exodus 14:16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. (KJV)
Exodus 14:21-22 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. [22] And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. Exodus 15:8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. (KJV) . . . Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, causing the seabed to dry. The people of Israel walked through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side. The deep waters congealed (like firm Jell-O) in the heart of the sea. The waters became like hard walls for the people to walk between. Could any man do this? Only God could do this!

Miracles of Elijah

James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (KJV) (1 Kings 17:1). . . . Many worshipped Baal then, thinking he was the god of rain and good harvests. God through Elijah, stopped the rains for 3 1/2 years.
1 Kings 17:14 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth. (KJV) . . . During the drought, Elijah stayed with a widow and her son. God through Elijah,  
kept the meal and oil full. It never ran out.    

1 Kings 18:38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. (KJV) . . . When Elijah prayed a very short prayer of faith to God, God sent fire down from Heaven to consume the sacrifice that Elijah had put on the altar, whereas 450 of Baal’s prophets prayed all day long with no result. 

2 Kings 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. (KJV) . . . Elijah called for fire from heaven, to consume the arrogant, daring sinners; not to secure himself, but to prove his mission, and to reveal the wrath of God from heaven, against the ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. 

Miracles of Elisha

2 Kings 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. (KJV) . . . Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smacked the waters (verse 8), and like the rod of Moses, it had the divinely parted the waters so that he and Elisha walked across. In this verse Elisha, smacked the waters and they parted for him as well. This was evidence that the Lord God of Elijah was with him. This miracle was witnessed by the scholars of the prophets from Jericho, so they immediately saw and recognized Elisha as the new prophet of Israel. 

2 Kings 4:42-44 And there came a man from Baal-shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat. [43] And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the Lord, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof. [44] So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the Lord. (KJV) . . . They shall eat, and shall leave thereof. This was not only a miracle of Elisha, but also a prediction of those that would be done by the Lord Jesus (Mat.15:37; Mark 8:8; Luke 9:17; John 6:12). 

2 Kings 5:27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow. (KJV) . . . After his miraculous cure (2 Kings 5:9-15), Naaman returned to Elisha, and acknowledged his full belief in the sole supremacy of the God of Israel and offered Elisha a liberal reward. But to show that he was not driven by the selfish motives of the heathen priests and prophets, Elisha, though he accepted presents on other occasions (2 Kings 4:42), respectfully but firmly declined this time. He wanted the Syrians to see the devotion of God’s true servants.
Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, saw an opportunity to get rich by selfishly asking for the reward Elisha had refused. Although Gehazi had been a helpful servant, personal gain had become more important to him than serving God. He ended up with Naaman’s leprosy!

2 Kings 6:5-7 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed. [6] And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim. [7] Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it. (KJV) . . . This miracle of the floating iron axe-head is recorded to show God’s care and provision for those who trust Him, even in the seemingly unimportant events of our everyday life. God is always present, always near! We should be very careful of anything that we borrow. This man appreciated that borrowed axe.  God cares for His people in their smallest concerns. God’s grace can also raise the stony iron heart, which is sunk into the sticky mud of this world, just as God raised that iron axe-head through Elisha.

2 Kings 6:15-19 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? [16] And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. [17] And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. [18] And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. (KJV) . . . Elisha’s servant woke early to see an army all around them. Elisha assured him all was well. In his brief prayer, open his eyes, that he may see, GOD DID EXACTLY THAT! He saw the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha! God takes care of His people.
         
Brother Andrew, in his book “God’s Smuggler” had a similar experience as this. As He was taking Bibles into Russia, he came to some guards. His simple prayer was similar to Elisha’s, but backwards. He asked God to close the guards’ eyes that they could not see the Bibles in the car with him. God did as he asked.

Joshua 3:13-17 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap. [14] And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; [15] And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) [16] That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho. [17] And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. (KJV) . . . This is the fourth time that God separated waters and allowed people to walk across on dry ground. (Ex.14:21; 2 Kings 2:8, 14). WHO but God could possibly do something like that? Only God! There is a GOD!

Lying Wonders

Ex.7:11; Ex.7:22; Ex.8:7; Mat.7:22; Mat.24:24; Mark 13:22; 2 Thes.2:9; Rev.13:13; Rev.16:14; Rev. 19:20. How were the sorcerers and magicians able to duplicate Moses’ miracles? It involved trickery or illusion, also some may have used satanic power since worshiping gods of the underworld was part of their religion.
         
The coming Antichrist (2 Thes.2:9), will be a lawless one will use “counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders” to deceive and draw a following. My friend the spirit of Antichrist is in the world today, it’s always been here! There are many today that are being deceived by satanic miracles, and the news media is so Bible illiterate, they too believe what is said and anxiously broadcast it. TRUE miracles from God can help strengthen our faith and lead people to Christ, but all so-called miracles are NOT from God.
         
Worship of Satan and demons is spreading like wildfire! So-called miracles done by them simply overwhelms people. They believe it all. Why can’t they believe God instead?
         
The man of lawlessness (Antichrist) will have great power to do amazing things, but his power will be from Satan, NOT God! He will use this power to destroy and to lead people away from God and toward himself. It’s happening as I write! Who do you think has touched the heart and mind of the woman who wrote to me? It is none other than Satan! Her words haunt me! I tremble at her end if she does not SEE God soon. “I’m having a hard time right now. I’m agnostic, I understand that means you’re unsure if there is a God or not, correct? . . . . . . I think it’s going to take a lot for me to believe in God again. There’s just too much I question, don’t believe and scoff.” These words were spawned by none other than a satanic spirit, trying to lure her far away from a God who loves her. Millions of others are also on that broad road to destruction (Mat.7:13-14).

7 YEARS PLENTY, 7 YEARS FAMINE IN EGYPT:

Genesis 41:25-36 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do. [26] The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one. [27] And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine. [28] This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh. [29] Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: [30] And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; [31] And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous. [32] And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. (KJV)

Jerico’s fall.

Joshua 6:1-5 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. [2] And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. [3] And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. [4] And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. [5] And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. FULFILLED: Joshua 6:6-27.

Joshua 6:26-27 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. 1 Kings 16:34 In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun. (KJV) . . . This prophecy is absolutely amazing! Fulfilled to the letter about 520 years later! So exact, so precise! 

Josiah Would Kill Pagan Priests
On Their Own Altars.

1 Kings 13:2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. (KJV) 

FULFILLED:

When King Josiah purged idolatry out of Judah.
2 Kings 23:16 And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the Lord which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words. (KJV) . . .  This is another remarkable prophecy that is recorded in the Scriptures. It even names Josiah, it is a clear and exact prediction of an event that took place 360 sixty years later. Only God could do this!

Chapter 5

Prophecy Being Fulfilled in our Time

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (KJV) . . . esus told the disciples (and us) what to look for before He returned.

1. False prophets and false Christs.

Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (KJV) 
Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (KJV). . .  In recent years, many have claimed to be the Messiah. Jim Jones and David Koresh are just two examples of the many. These false ones are a preview of what is to come.
Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. (KJV) . . . Beware! Watch out! Is what our Lord is telling us!

2. Wars.

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (KJV) . . . We hear of wars or rumors of wars that are worldwide, because of the news sources.
Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (KJV) . . . Hundreds of thousands of people are killed in wars of some kind. Yet people continue making weapons of mass destruction. The threat of crazy terrorists is everywhere. And our Lord tells us:
Matthew 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (KJV) 

3. Famines. 

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (KJV) . . . White Christian farmers are being driven out of Africa in huge numbers. They are being replaced by people who raise poppies. 25% of the world’s drugs now come from Africa. This means there is not enough food to sustain the people. Famine is not limited to Africa. A large portion of the world’s 5 billion people are hungry.

4. Earthquakes. 

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (KJV) . . . Earthquakes are more frequent, and more intense in our time than any other time in history and getting worse all the time. All we have to do is turn on the news. The recent tsunami is an example, and the one in India.

5. Tribulations. 

Matthew 24:8-10 All these are the beginning of sorrows. [9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. [10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. (KJV) . . . From the time that the Jews rejected Christ, and He left their house desolate, the sword has never left them. Troubles of some sort plague them constantly. This is what comes by refusing the Gospel. Those who refuse to hear the messengers of peace, shall be forced to hear the messengers of war. When we look forward to the eternity of misery that is before the stubborn refusers of Christ and His Gospel, it is clear to see that the greatest earthly judgments are just the beginning of sorrows.
         
But this Passage is NOT only for Jews. Christians are hated world-wide! Even in the United States, we suffer ridicule, hatred and discrimination. But in countries like Africa, China, Korea, Russia, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Muslim nations, Christians suffer much persecution and even death. The first 5 signs mentioned here, will greatly increase both in number and severity as the Great Tribulation grows nearer. TRUE Christians are few and far between. After the Rapture takes place, some churches won’t even be missing a single member.
Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (KJV) . . . TRUE faith will have nearly died out by the time Jesus comes for us (1 Thes.4:13-17), and faith of Christ’s coming will scarcely be found. His prediction of “few” rings SO true! Yes! Prophecy is being fulfilled in our time. Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV) . . . Most people are on the wrong road, speeding away from Heaven! 

6. The Gospel will be preached in all the World.
 

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (KJV) . . . This has been fulfilled through TV, radio, missionaries and the internet. People all over the world hear the Gospel of Christ.

Our Command!

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (KJV) . . . We ALL must do our share! No matter who you are, you can reach someone that I cannot! GO, TELL about Jesus! 

Other Prophecies Being Fulfilled.

2 Tim. 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (KJV)  . . . The perilous times go hand in hand with what Jesus states in Matthew 24. The last days began after Jesus’ resurrection when the Holy Spirit came upon the believers at Pentecost, and will continue until Christ’s Second Coming. We are living in the last days. We should take advantage of the time that God has given us (Eph. 5:16; Col. 4:5). 

Godlessness.

2 Tim. 3:2-7 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. [6] For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, [7] Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (KJV) . . . Our leaders are corrupt. Cities are filled with crime, and getting worse by the day. Immorality in every form is being tolerated and accepted by people around the world. Fortune tellers and sorcerers are claiming to be able to tell the future. Many of the rich and famous celebrities flock to them. 
         
People love only themselves and their money. They boast and with great pride, show off their riches and possessions; literally ridiculing God. Children and teens are disobedient to their parents, and some parents are actually afraid of their own children. It is rare that you can find anyone who will thank you for something you do for them. They are not grateful for anything. People have less and less natural affection. How could anyone murder their own unborn child?? And natural affection is NOT homosexuality!
         
People lie and slander others, and have no self-control. They are cruel and hate anyone who is good. They betray friends, and love pleasure rather than God. Some act as if they are religious, but they reject the power that could make them godly. Some people (men and women) will follow every new teaching, but they never understand the Truth. Stay away from people like that. As I read God’s Word, it is so clear to me that He DOES exist. It puzzles me that others cannot see Him. Everything He so clearly tells us about end times, is happening right before our very eyes! Apostasy, falling away from the faith.

1 Tim. 4:1-3 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. (KJV) . . . Churches today are really falling fast for false teachers and their man made doctrines (Mat.15:9). God repeatedly warns us against them (Mark 13:21-23; Acts 20:28-31; 2 Thes. 2:1-12; 2 Peter 3:3-7). Just because someone seems to know what he/she is talking about, is disciplined and moral, or says that he/she is speaking for God, does NOT mean that they are. If a teacher’s words contradict the Bible in ANY way, the teaching is false, and they are a false teacher! A TRUE teacher is Biblically based!
         
Many churches embrace the New Age doctrines, denying that Christ is the ONLY Way to Heaven. Worship of mother Earth; belief in past lives; reincarnation; devil worship; etc., ALL are wrong according to God! And accepting homosexuality and live-ins as acceptable alternative lifestyles is WRONG. My friend, homosexuality is a SIN! You shall be judged for it if you go that way. And living with someone without the benefit of marriage is a SIN, no matter your age or race. Many people today will not marry because they would lose benefits from pension or health policies from former mates. What this is saying to God is: “I don’t trust You to take care of me. I can do it better.” It’s a SIN! You are departing from the faith! Your apostasy shall be judged!

Existence of a 200,000,000 man army.

Rev. 9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. (KJV) . . . The army of China and the East reached this number in the 1960’s.

Return of one pure Hebrew language in Israel.

Zeph. 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent. (KJV) . . . Before the restoration of Israel in 1948, the Hebrew language was dead. Now, Hebrew is spoken in all Israel.

Rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem.

For several end time prophecies to be fulfilled, the Temple must be rebuilt.
Daniel 9:26-27 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. [27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (KJV)
Rev. 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. (KJV) . . . There are groups already working on the construction of the new Temple. Blueprints are done. Temple garments have been made. Attempts have been made to lay the cornerstone. Only one thing stands in the way. They are not sure where the original site is. Some say it is where the Dome of the Rock is (Islam’s 3rd holiest site). Others say it is 340 feet south of this. See the Temple Mount Faithful on the internet.

Increase in knowledge and travel.

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and for, and knowledge shall be increased. (KJV) . . . Someone has said that 90% of all engineers and scientists who ever lived, have lived in recent times. Air travel makes it possible to go anywhere in the world. We have seen the start of TV, cell phones, internet, etc. At the turn of the century people were still depending on horses for travel. SO much we have seen just in the past 50 years. It is definitely fulfillment of what was written in Daniel. 

Return of Russian Jews to Israel.

Jeremiah 23:8 But, The Lord levity, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. (KJV) . . . In the 1970’s and 1980’s there was a mass exodus of Russian Jews out of Communist Russia.

Technology for the mark of the Beast.

Rev. 13:16-18 And he caught all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (KJV) . . . Tiny micro-chips have been placed in an animal’s shoulder as a form of identification. If a pet becomes lost, the chip reveals the owner. On May 10, 2005, three members of a Florida family were the first people to receive a biotic implant. A tiny device about the size of a grain of rice was injected under their skin. It is able to transmit a personal ID number when it is within a few feet of a special receiver. This ID can be used in security, emergency, healthcare, banking, etc.
         
Is this biochip the mark that the Antichrist will use in the Great Tribulation? It makes sense to me. If so, we are not far from being raptured by our Lord (1 Thes.4:13-17). What is very important here is that people are being readied for this mark. Attitudes are changing day by day as to this system. Soon, people will be convinced that this is the ONLY way to provide information for security, bank and medical records. Fears about such a system will lessen with each passing day. People will be convinced they NEED this mark (chip or whatever it will be). When Antichrist becomes ruler of the world, there will be very few people who will refuse this mark.
         
ALL those who accept the mark of the beast show their allegiance to Satan, and their willingness to operate within the economic system he promotes. To accept this mark is absolute rebellion against God. To refuse the mark means a total commitment to God, showing they prefer death to compromising their faith in Christ. All who accept this mark will be in line for the judgments God will send to Earth (Rev.16:2; 19:20).
Rev. 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (KJV) . . . ALL who accept the mark shall be sent to Hell!

Plans for a one world government.

The United Nations, World Trade Organization, International Criminal Court, UN peace keeping and police force, and other UN agencies are in the first steps to a one world government. Plans are for a one world money (Euro). Already in place is communication technology, transportation, and around the world media needed by Antichrist to run the world (see Rev.13). The increasing terrorist threats and Middle East conflicts will only speed up this government because people will want someone who can bring peace to the world (see Rev.6). Antichrist will come supposedly bringing peace. It will NOT last! Only Christ can bring lasting peace to the world. If you are not on the side of Christ, I beg you to turn to Him NOW! There is a GOD! Please believe that!

Plans for a one world church.

After the Rapture, the only thing left will be the harlot church (Rev.17). This “church” will tolerate everything except the Truth of God, the Gospel of Christ. This prostitute church will consist of every denomination on Earth. We are speeding to that one world church as I write. Even some so-called evangelistic preachers are speaking up for it. This church is very near! There are very few today who stand up for Jesus. Most so-called Christians will compromise with the world. A TRUE church, one who believes and teaches the Truth, will not accept false doctrine. But with these new mega churches teaching a watered down Gospel out of a blasphemous so-called bible, this one world church is very near.

Rev. 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (KJV)

God the Father sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to Earth to bridge the wide canyon of sin that separates us from Him. The bridge from us to God is the cross of Christ. Only when we believe God (1 John 5:10-12) and humble ourselves at the foot of the cross, can we get across that wide canyon. There has never been anyone like Jesus, and there never will be again.
         
Jesus took on the form of man because God sent Him to be our Sacrifice for sin. Jesus came to Earth to die! He had to come as Man, because as God, He could not die. He was supernaturally conceived in the womb of a young virgin by the Holy Spirit. Because of His supernatural conception, Jesus, who is totally God, also became totally human. Although Jesus is God, He chose to come to Earth and live as a Man, laying aside all His privileges of being God. Jesus made Himself nothing; taking on the lowly position of a slave, appearing in human form, thus He obediently humbled Himself by dying on the cross between two criminals (Phil. 2:7-8).
         
Jesus never did stop being God when He came to Earth. He simply gave up all His divine rights as He walked the Earth as a Man. He left the glory and safety of Heaven, to die on the cross for us! He experienced every human emotion, from happiness to deep sorrow, then death. He knew what it was like to be tired, cold, and hungry. He came to this Earth to bridge that tremendous gap between us and God. The Bible teaches, “Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins” (Heb.9:22). He took the sin of the world upon Himself when He hung on the cross all those years ago.
         
If you check out the prophecies above, you will see the prophecies pointed not only to His birth and life but also to His death, including the way that He would die. The first prophecies about Christ were made about 2000 years before Jesus was born, yet they were fulfilled to the letter! Only God could do something like that (Isa. 46:9-10). Jesus knew from the beginning that He had come specifically to die for the sins of humanity. He also knew that this sacrifice would be made on a horrible Roman cross. Judas Iscariot, one of His own disciples, betrayed Him. That too was prophesied (Ps.41:9). As huge nails were pounded into His Hands and Feet, He became our Bridge to God! Three days after His crucifixion, Jesus rose from the dead! Jesus is NOT dead! He lives! We serve a risen Saviour! Not even the grave could hold Him (Ps.16:10). Jesus IS God, and when He ascended into Heaven (Acts 1:9), He seated Himself at the right Hand of God the Father (Heb.1:3; 8:1; 10:12; 12:2; 1 Pet.3:2).

Apart from Jesus, the only thing you and I can know about God is that He exists and is powerful. The reason our Saviour came two thousand years ago, was to redeem sinful mankind, and also to reveal God the Father to us. Jesus spent 6 hours on a cross to redeem the world, but He spent 33 years revealing God, His Father to us. If you want to know God, you must go to Jesus. God is revealed through His Son, Jesus! And what He shows us is that God is love!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV) . . . There is a God, and He loves you.

Closing Comments   Chapter 7

I do understand why some people have trouble with the FACT that there is a God. He is so awesome, so unlike us, that our meager minds simply are not able to comprehend Him.
God is infinite. He has absolutely no limits. Nothing in the Universe can compare to Him. We are finite, so it impossible for us to fully comprehend just who God is.
God is eternal. He has no beginning and has no end. He always has been and will always be. This fact many cannot believe or understand, but it’s true. Just because you don’t believe something doesn’t make it false.
God is omnipresent. He is present everywhere in the universe that He has made. He is present with you, right now, but He is also in China and Israel at the same time. God today is present everywhere in His universe. You can’t keep Him out.
God is omnipotent. He is all-powerful and there is nothing that He cannot do.
God is omniscient. He knows all things. God knows what will happen an hour from now, a year from now, 10,000 years from now. Don’t ever roll the dice with God because He knows what’s coming up. Any time you bet against God, you will lose. Don’t think you can play with God. You can’t live foot loose and fancy free and get by with it with Him. He sees and knows everything that you do, say or think. You can NEVER go anywhere that you will be out of God’s Presence. God is not only in Creation; He is greater than Creation. He not only is in His universe; God surrounds His universe! He also dwells in the heart of every humble sinner who comes to Christ and trusts Him as Saviour.
         
If you want to know God, you have to come to Jesus Christ. Jesus said to His own, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Mat. 28:20). And another comfort, He said that not one insignificant sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father’s will (Luke 12:6-7), and we are worth much more than a sparrow. You and I are just little creatures, but He loves us enough to die for us. And when you reject Him, you have committed the black sin that makes murder, stealing, adultery and lying look white in comparison; for you have turned your back on the Son of God (John 3:18,36; 8:24; 1 John 5:10-12).
         
How big is God? We don’t have yardstick to put down beside God; we cannot measure Him! What Does God Look Like? You could search the heavens with a telescope, but you will NEVER see God. There is no instrument made by human hands that is capable of figuring out or explaining the unreachable mysteries of our God. No one has seen God at any time (John 1:18; 1 John 4:12). That’s true in the O.T., in the N.T., and it’s true today. God is a Spirit (John 4:24).
Will we see God the Father, Face to face? I’m don’t know, I’m not that wise. I do know that we shall see the Lord Jesus, and we shall be with Him. The Father will be there on His glorious Throne, where we are going to worship and honor Him for eternity. Even though I do not know what Jesus (God) looks like, I can still KNOW Him. I see Him weeping at the tomb of Lazarus, I see Him going into a home and restoring the life of a little girl, I see Him healing the sick, making the blind to see and I see Him feeding five thousand. I can also feel His wondrous Presence everywhere I go. I do not know what Jesus looks like, but God can be known today by what He has done, and will continue to do for you and me.
         
It does not matter that no one has seen His face. God has given us enough information about God to make an intelligent decision!
Rom.1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (KJV)  
         
Atheism can never paint a masterpiece in the sky as the sun sets. Atheism can never eliminate our fear. Atheism can never heal a disease. Atheism can never give us peace of mind and contentment. Atheism can never dry our tears. Atheism can never give meaning to our life on Earth, and atheism can never give us strength for our trials. Atheism can never give us a peaceful world. Atheism can never give us a warm love that we feel deep down in our soul. Atheism can never give us eternal life in Heaven. Only God, our marvelous Creator can give us these blessings and so many more!
         
Atheism is a refusal of God, a fight against God, a rebelling against God, and trying to challenge God. No one talks so constantly about God as those who insist that there is no God. It’s amazing that intelligent people fight so hard against something which they don’t believe exists. There is a God, and one day everyone shall admit this fact (Isa.45:23; Rom.14:11; Phil.2:10).
         
Any foolish person can deny the existence of a supernatural power, because our physical senses cannot detect it. But what cannot be ignored is our conscience, our regard for moral law, the mystery of life, or the amazing order in which the Universe moves about us on this Earth. These are evidence of the handiwork of the benevolent Deity. As for me, that Deity is the God of the Bible and of Jesus Christ, His Son.
         
Are you on the devil’s side? Or are you on God’s side? (1 John 3:10). You MUST accept Jesus as your personal Saviour and Lord if you want to be on God’s side!

John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV) . . . Simple faith!
1 John 5:10-12 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV) . . .  JESUS is the Only Way!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) 
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)  . . . I have tried to address this most difficult question . . . IS THERE A GOD? . . . from several different directions. To those who are believers, like me; we KNOW that there is an Almighty Deity, a higher, unseen Power who exists and is in control of all things, and that He created the Universe and everything in it. I think that all believers, at times in their lives, tend to doubt things about God. But, these momentary doubts soon pass, and our faith kicks back in again.
         
In chapter 1, I tried to explain how I know there is a God, and how He has worked in my life, actually saving me from dangers and even death.
         
In chapter 2, I tried to explain about Creation and how it continues day after day in its set patterns, the lights of Heaven never once getting out of alignment in any way, always in accurate and constant precision, the sea never leaving its boundaries. Only God could keep all the multitude of stars and planets in line.
         
In chapter 3, I brought forth a very small number of miracles recorded in the Bible. Tremendous miracles that could only be accomplished by God Himself.
         
In chapter 4, I brought just a few of the Old Testament prophecies, and showed their fulfillment. Only God can see ahead all those years, and have His words fulfilled to the letter.
         
In chapter 5, I show you many of the prophecies being fulfilled in our time. There are more, but I just want to show you that only God could be this accurate, predicting things about 2000 years ago, and them being fulfilled in our day.
         
In chapter 6, I show where the Old Testament prophesied about Jesus’ birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension to Heaven; and I show you where all those prophecies were fulfilled. Jesus is Who He said He was.
         
If you are an unbeliever (agnostic, doubter), I honestly don’t think there is any more that I could say to change your mind if these words do not touch your heart. Please consider carefully what I have written in this little book. There is a God, and He does love you, and so do I. I care about your eternal soul.          
         
It is my belief that we are created in the “image of God” (Gen.1:27), meaning we have the capacity to think, feel and know God, our Maker. It also means we have an eternal spirit.
Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. (KJV)
Pro. 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly. (KJV)
1 Thes. 5:23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV) 
         
It is also my belief that deep within each of us, we have a void, or a God-shaped hole that yearns, cries out to be filled. And until we fill that “hole” with Christ, our life leaves a lot to be desired. We are restless, sad, sorrowful, fearful, impatient, angry, hateful, at war with all that is good, depressed, lusting after all wrong things (money, drugs, alcohol, sex), thinking those things might make us happy and content . . . but, it never does, never will! Only Jesus (GOD) can change your heart and your life! Only Jesus (GOD) can give you the peace and contentment you crave. Only Jesus (GOD) can ever give you access to Heaven’s bliss and keep you from Hell’s agony.  

CHRIST IS THE ‘BRIDGE’  

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ from Earth, to Heav’n,
The only One the Father hath giv’n.
If we accept God’s One True Way,
We’ll be citizens of Heav’n alway.

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ from death to life,
The only One that can relieve strife.
We as humans follow sin’s path,
Just Jesus takes away God’s wrath.

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ o’er troubled seas,
The only One that can make Satan flee.
Trials and tribulations will be near,
But with our Saviour, we’ve nought to fear.

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ from wrong to right,
Always there to help, in our fight.
We must love and trust; and obey,
For with our God, there’s no other way!

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ that leads from Hell,
Trust Him, and there, you’ll never dwell!
Just walk in Him, thru’ Heav’n’s door,
All Heaven’s wonder is in store.
