They Knew Not Until the Flood Came

Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (KJV) . . . Jesus' words.
2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; (KJV)

In Matthew 24:39, consider the phrase “they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away.” Could they have known? YES!!! They did NOT WANT TO KNOW. All the while Noah was preaching, they wanted NO part of what he was saying to them! Noah preached for about 100 years!!! NOT one person was saved!

The wicked world is the same today. They want NO part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! They NEVER think about eternity! They are simply saturated with indifference and wickedness. People are selfishly living their lives as usual, eating, drinking and giving in marriage; while they completely ignore the Truth in the face of impending doom and judgment.
Genesis chapter 6 describes an evil and wicked world that just did NOT care at all about God! They ignored Noah's message of living in a righteous manner. They COULD have known, but they did NOT want to know.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.(KJV)  . . . Jesus' words. 
According to the Bible, and Jesus, most people are lost and on their way to Hell. Oddly enough, most of them are religious. Most religions corrupt the Gospel by adding sacraments, works, water baptism and religious devotion as requirements for salvation. That is NOT what the Bible says about salvation! NOTHING can be added to what Jesus did for us on the cross!
Romans 4:3-4 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (KJV)  
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)  
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)

Jesus said the Last Days would be like the Days of Noah. If you go back and read what it was like then, you will see that those times and today’s world are very much the same! Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (KJV) . . . None in those days saw the imminent doom. WHY??? Because they did not care to know the truth. The promised Flood came and swept the wicked away. They all went to Hell in their unbelief, having died in their sins. I do not know just how big Hell is, but I do know that it is big enough for ALL the wicked!
Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (KJV)
Pro 27:20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. (KJV)
Isaiah 5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (KJV)
Isaiah 14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (KJV) . . . Just think of all those greedy, oppressive rulers that shall be in Hell!

All through human history, most people have turned a deaf ear to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and they ALL went to Hell (Psalm 9:17, above). In Luke 16, Lazarus was carried by angels to Heaven, but the rich man went to Hell. The rich man cried out from the temporary holding place, where he was already in torment (Lk.6:24), asking Abraham to dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

My friend, the Bible is available to all in America. But, IF people will not heed the Bible's warning, and that of the preaching the Gospel, then the wicked will NOT believe at all no matter what! The vast majority of people today live in their own little, selfishly, smug world, totally ignoring any Truth that may come their way and have forgotten God or do not believe He is a God of wrath, just as much as He is a God of love! God can send a person to Heaven, yes! But, He can also send a person to Hell, and according to Jesus, MANY will be condemned to Hell, whereas only a few will be granted access to Heaven (Mat.7:13-14, above).
It is very interesting that the Bible tells us that those who perished in the flood knew not until destruction was upon them. They really did NOT believe Noah's message of coming judgment and doom. And my friend, the rich man knew not until he awoke in the fires of Hell (Lk.16:23). I can hear the people laughing and mocking Noah, just as fools laugh and mock at the Bible or God’s servants today. But friend, I can also hear them screaming at the top of their lungs, scratching and clawing at the ark, when God had shut the door of the ark, and the Flood waters took the ark away (Gen.7:16-23). Be warned my friend, many people alive today will not wake up until they are burning in Hell with the generation of Noah’s time and the rich man, because they refused to listen to what God states about eternity. Do NOT Mock God!

Wickedness all around us! Wickedness is worsening continually, just as it did in the days before the Flood! You are in control of your destination. Heaven? Hell? Which will it be? Where will you go??

Mat. 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (KJV)
Mat. 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (KJV) . . . You do have a choice! Accept Jesus, Heaven! Reject Jesus, Hell!
