What is going to happen in the end times?

Prophesies and descriptions of the end times are scattered all through the Bible . . . from a Jewish scholar in a foreign court (Daniel), to Jesus in the book of Matthew, to the elderly semi-retired fisherman John (Revelation). Following is a very brief summary of what the Bible declares will happen in the end times. My friend, the Bible is God-breathed and every word of it is from Him (2 Tim.3:16), including the prophecies regarding the end times.

The End Times . . . Before the Tribulation

Rapture. The Rapture takes place when Jesus returns to the sky and TRUE believers are caught up with Him in the clouds. The dead saints first, then those who are alive and remain, so they will not have to suffer God's wrath during the Tribulation. These are judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ, rewarded for their good works, and given glorified bodies. The marriage supper of the Lamb will also take place. The End Times . . . Tribulation . . . The First 3.5 years

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (KJV)
The Antichrist of Revelation 13 shall appear AFTER the church is removed from the Earth at the Rapture(next event of God to take place on Earth). He will make a covenant (peace treaty) with Israel. Israel will accept him as her Messiah (John 5:43), but in the midst of the week he will break his covenant by placing an image in the Temple (Rev. 13) that the Jews shall build. This will be the abomination of desolation that Daniel and Jesus speaks of (Dan.11:31; 12:11; Mat.24:15; Mark 13:14). What Israel will think is the Millennium, will turn out to be the Great Tribulation (Mat. 24:15–26). Only the coming of Christ can end this horrifying period (Mat. 24:27–31). The Antichrist will convince the Jews that he can solve all their problems, but after 3 1/2 years, Antichrist will break every promise he ever made to them. Completely opposite of the TRUE Christ who never lies!
After the Jews rebuild their Temple, they will again have blood sacrifices to God. But, in the midst of the week he (Antichrist) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation (offerings) to cease. Remember the week is 7 years. In the middle of the week (3 ½ years), this evil man, Antichrist shows his true colors and puts a complete stop to all Jewish worship in their new Temple. He will even have the gall to enter the Temple and demand to be worshipped as God. And he shall set up an image and demand people worship it (Rev.13:14-17).
The Antichrist will broker peace with Israel and the world. At that moment, the Tribulation officially begins (Dan.9:24-25).

Seal Judgments in the Tribulation, Revelation 5-6

These are judgments of God that will be scattered over the first 3 ½ years of the Tribulation. They include the rise of the Antichrist, war, famine, pestilence, beasts, the persecution of believers, and natural disasters. They are compared to birth pangs in that they are unique, intense, do not stop until completed, grow in intensity, and grow closer together. The seventh seal is silence for half an hour, and then the distribution of the seven trumpet judgments.

144,000 Jewish Witnesses

Revelation 7:1-8 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. (KJV)
NOTICE: This 144,000 is from the nation of Israel! How any cult could say it is them is beyond me! I don’t think there is a clearer portion of Scripture anywhere, than this verse and the following ones! This is ISRAEL! Not the church! Not Gentiles! Not ANY cult! It is Israel and Israel alone!
Revelation 14:1-5 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. (KJV)
The 144,000 kept themselves clean from the wicked abominations of the followers of the Antichrist. Their hearts were right with God; they are without fault before God. They were pardoned in Christ, He is glorified in them, and they in Him.
Firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb is a definite reference to Israel (Rom.11:15-16). I believe they will occupy a special place in the millennial kingdom.
And in their mouth was found no guile means they absolutely did not and would not participate in the big lie of the beast when he did his so-called miracles. They did NOT fall for his lies! Remember that Jesus said that if it were possible to deceive the very elect, they would be deceived (Mat.24:24), but these 144,000 will NOT be deceived!
May it be our prayer, our aim and our ambition, to be found as honorable as these!

Revived Roman Empire

The Antichrist will become the ruler of the restored Roman Empire. (Daniel 7).

Seven Trumpets of the Tribulation, Revelation 8:1-9:21

Worse judgments will be characterize the last 3 ½ years: 1/3 vegetation will be burned, creating a famine; 1/3 sea will be turned to blood, killing 1/3 sea creatures and destroying 1/3 ships; 1/3 of the fresh water will be contaminated; 1/3 sun, moon, and stars will be darkened; locusts, possibly demonic, will torture people for five months; a great army, possibly demonic, will destroy 1/3 mankind. The seventh trumpet is the announcement of Christ's impending reign and the seven bowls (vials).

Seven Bowl (Vial) Judgments, Revelation 16

Worse still are the horrible Seven Bowl Judgments of God. As if to emphasize the enormity of this final judgment of the Seven Vials, the word "great" appears eleven times in this chapter:

A "Great Voice" coming "out of the Temple" (16:1),
A "great heat" (16:9) from the fourth Bowl Judgment,
The "great river Euphrates" (16:12) of the sixth Bowl Judgment,
T the "battle of that great day of God Almighty" (16:14), which is Armageddon,
The "Great Voice (of Christ Jesus) out of the Temple of Heaven" (16:17) from the seventh Bowl Judgment,
A "great earthquake" (16:18) before the Second Coming of Christ,
The mightiest earthquake in the history of mankind is described as "so mighty an earthquake, and so great" (16:18),
The "great city" (16:19) of Jerusalem will be topographically rearranged,
"Great Babylon (spiritual Babylon)" (16:19) is remembered by God for punishment,
"Great hail" (16:21) falls upon man, and
The fierceness of the plague of hail is called "exceeding great" (16:21).

Psalm 47:2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. (KJV)
Psalm 66:3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. (KJV)
Psalm 76:12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth. (KJV)
Isaiah 2:19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. (KJV)
Isaiah 64:3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. (KJV)
Jeremiah 10:10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. (KJV)
Unlike the Seal Judgments (Revelation 6:1-17; 8:1) of the First Half of the Tribulation Week, which unveil and introduce Almighty God's dealings with the world, and the Trumpet Judgments of the Second Half of the Tribulation Week, which continue to demonstrate how serious God is, in expecting man to repent, through His smiting of a third part of His Creation; the Seven Bowl Judgments, must be placed at the End of the Tribulation Week because they are described by the Spirit as the "seven last plagues" (15:1), demonstrate the finality of the "wrath of God upon the Earth" (16:1). Psalm 75:8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. (KJV) . . . The whole world will suffer because the whole world rejected God and disobeyed Him!
Revelation 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; (KJV)
Revelation 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. (KJV)
Why not STOP your sin and repent, now, so you do not have to go through the Tribulation?

The End Times . . . Tribulation . . . Midway

Temple . . . The Jewish Temple will have been reestablished on the Temple Mount. the Bible gives no indication as to exactly when, just that the temple and the sacrifices have been reestablished by the mid-point of the Tribulation. At the midpoint, the Antichrist will put an end to the sacrifices (Dan.9:27).
Israel . . . The treaty will be broken; Israel will be invaded. The people of Israel will gradually turn to God (Eze.28-29).
Two Prophets . . . The Bible does not tell us who the prophets are exactly. Guesses can be made. They will preach in the streets of Jerusalem to anyone who will listen (Rev.11:3-6).
Antichrist . . . The Antichrist will be assassinated and supposedly resurrected (Rev.13:3,12,14).
Abomination of Desolation . . . Much like the blasphemy of Antiochus Epiphanies, the Antichrist will establish an image in the Temple for people to worship (Dan.9:27. Mat.24:15; Rev.13:14).
Harlot Church . . . The apostate church will be destroyed by the Antichrist who will then demand worship of himself (Rev.13:4-5,13-15; 17:16-17).

What is the Harlot Church in Revelation 17?

It is the end time church that will remain AFTER the Rapture takes place, and ALL the TRUE believers are removed and taken to Heaven. This apostate church will come to power and will be politically powerful and extremely wealthy. It will persecute believers. It will be centered in Rome, but be ecumenical. BEWARE of the Evils of Ecumenism!
