Chapter 12, Prophecies About Jesus

Even though many people say the Bible is not the Word of God, there are many proofs that they are wrong. Personally, just the prophecies alone, is more than adequate proof for me. In the Old Testament we see countless prophecies recorded, then some times hundreds of years later, they are fulfilled . . . to the letter! Consider the amazing prophecy of Joshua.
The prophecy.
Joshua 6:26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. (KJV) Joshua pronounced a curse on the man who would rebuild Jericho. #1 There would be a man responsible for the rebuilding of Jericho. #2 Jericho would be rebuilt. #3 The builder’s oldest son would die when the work started. #4 The builder’s youngest son would die when the work was completed.
Its fulfillment.
1 Kings 16:34 In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun. (KJV) 520 years later Joshua’s prophecy was fulfilled exactly as he had predicted. Joshua could NOT have been guessing!

Prophecies of Christ, and their fulfillment.
There are a multitude of prophecies concerning the Messiah (Christ) in the Old Testament that have been fulfilled. There are still some that have NOT been fulfilled, but mark my words, they shall be fulfilled perfectly and exactly as they are recorded in the Holy and inspired Word of God. Jesus is God, and the Bible proves it over and over again!
