IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! Well, here we go again! It’s Praise-A-Thon time! If you tuned into TBN during the week of October 31st, you saw the parade of stars…the spiritual elite stars that is! Among them were Paul and Jan Crouch, Juanita Bynum, Paula White, Jentezen Franklin, Mark Chironna and a host of other Word Faith teachers that gathered together for one week telling you to “sow a seed” or “sow a seed faith promise” or “sow a faith promise seed” …etc, however you slice it, it’s the same thing! The whole idea here is for you to “go to the phone and give”. This is your act of obedience to the Lord and if you hesitate, you are in rebellion! They don’t come out and say that directly, well at least some of them don’t, but that is usually what is meant here. I have been watching this lunacy all during the week it was on, and I wanted to give my two cents worth in this newsletter.

The number of pastors, teachers, and TV evangelists in the Charismatic and Pentecostal "Christian" churches are advancing what has come to be known as the "Word Faith" or "Prosperity" movement. Its major leaders include many well known figures as Kenneth Hagin; Kenneth Copeland; Frederick K. C. Price; and David (Paul) Yongii Cho, who pastors one of the largest churches in the world in Seoul, Korea. Other well-known Word Faith personalities include Gloria Copeland, Robert Tilton, John Avanzini, John Osteen, T. L. Osborne, Charles Capps, Marilyn Hickey, Jerry Savelle, Joyce Meyer, Morris Cerullo, Casey Treat, Dwight Thompson, and Oral and Richard Roberts. . . . BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!!!

In the United States, Word Faith doctrines are brought through radio broadcasts, tapes, books, and tracts, primarily through the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), which regularly airs the programs of more than a dozen of these teachers. Paul and Jan Crouch, the directors of TBN, are deeply involved in the movement, and also feature Word Faith teachers as special guests on their "Praise the Lord" and "Praise-a-thon" (fund-raiser) programs. They reach multitudes with the Word Faith damnable heresies!

How should the TRUE church respond?

The Word Faith doctrines are dangerous, soul-destroying heresies that will put you in Hell! Their arrogant, big-headed teachings simply OPPOSE the Holy Word of God. It is a system of thinking that has been brought about people drawing from a mixture of Christian theology, mysticism and Gnosticism joined together by one of the most bizarre methods of Scripture interpretation ever devised. Some of the most popular of the Word Faith teachers warn critics "touch not the Lord's anointed," often under dire threats of divine displeasure. . . . How stupid! These heretics are NOT "the Lord's anointed" . . . NOT according to God's Word!

The time is long over due for Christians to take a serious look at the teachings of the Word-Faith movement. NOT enough has been said or written about the flawed and destructive doctrines of Word Faith Movement . . . most of which is total blasphemy! TRUE "Christians" criticize such groups as the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Christadelphians, or the United Pentecostal Church because of their non-Biblical views of the Trinity. They expose the Mormon teachings declaring that men can become gods (the first Satanic lie! - Genesis 3:5) or the Witnesses heretical view that Jesus is "a god", and not Almighty God, and was pre-existent as Michael the archangel. But most NEVER open their mouth to warn of the Word Faith garbage being spouted in today's churches which are equally damaging and heretical! Wake up people!
