"Damnable Heresies"

Apostate False Teachers

2 Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. (KJV)

We are told in the Bible that in the end times the Church will go into destructive and overwhelming apostasy. I do not think that most of the Church today does not even know that the apostasy is here! The most penetrating and damaging attacks on the Christian Church today come from WITHIN the church! False teachers rarely attack the Church from the outside. And what is worse, the false teachers are standing behind the pulpits.

People find the Truth from reading the Bible, but MANY false teachers teach false doctrines for the SOLE purpose of promoting themselves and for obtaining THEIR financial gain from their followers! 2 Peter 2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; (KJV)

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness . . . Woe unto them! Empty, vain religion is a deadly curse! 2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (KJV)

Many Christians are afraid of atheism, but false teaching is far more dangerous, and sends far more people to Hell than anything else. These who teach heresies are going the way of Cain, ungodly, greedy, and finally apostasy.

False teachers twist Scripture into an ungodly mess to fit their own fancies . . . and pockets! Well known, smooth talking evangelists take hold of the Biblically ignorant, and uninformed naive flocks . . . simply swooning over their appeal and charisma. Many shall follow their pernicious ways! 2 Peter 2:2-3 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. (KJV)

I receive emails from people who say that the Trinity is a false teaching because the word Trinity isn’t in the Bible. www.hisservants.org/triune_god_h_s.htm I had a Baptist preacher write and tell me that Jesus is NOT God! I wrote and offered him our booklet. He refused. Heresy is like leaven. It takes just a tiny bit to infect the whole batch. That horrendous book entitled “The Shack” is a book of fiction, BUT . . . it horribly misrepresents our awesome Creator God, and Biblically ignorant are quickly led astray.

Jesus tells us: "Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Mat.24:4). How many today are following Jesus warning? Let me put it this way, how "few" are paying attention to those words? Just look around, the answer is VERY FEW!

Peter tells us that such teachings are “damnable heresies”. What does damnable mean? It means eternal destruction which consists of eternal agony in Hell. People who teach others heresies are on a one way trip to Hell.

Consider the promotion of a heresy! Joseph Smith claimed he was visited by an angel named Moroni. This angel told him that he was giving Smith a new gospel because the original had become corrupt. WHAT does the Bible say? Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (KJV) . . . TWICE Paul repeats the condemnation, “let him be accursed.” Any time something it repeated in the Scriptures, it means it is VERY important!

How severe will Joseph Smiths punishment be? Think about it. He started off with a handful of converts to Mormonism leading people AWAY from the TRUE Gospel and over the years the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has grown into a huge cult, a false religion of where millions of followers are already condemned to Hell. WHO is responsible? Joseph Smith is responsible because people are perishing because of his false teaching.

Consider another. Charles Russell was the first president of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Russell originally denied the doctrine of Hell, and would go on to reject nearly every other Christian doctrine, as well as add many physically and spiritually dangerous doctrines of his own making (Mat.15:9). Many of these unique and bizarre teachings were to be found in his six volume series titled, Studies in the Scriptures. In 2000, the Watchtower Society claimed a worldwide membership of over six million (about one million U.S.) in more than 91,000 congregations in 235 countries speaking 340 languages, and takes in approximately 300,000 new members each year (288,907 in 2000). Charles Russell no longer denies the doctrine of Hell! He has learned, too late that Hell DOES exist! What punishment will Russell endure? Only God knows.

“Denying the Lord that bought them” (2 Peter 2:1). What makes up false teaching? Anything that adds to, or takes away from, or that runs contrary to God’s inerrant word by twisting the words. When men and women stand before an audience, and deceive that audience for the explicit purpose of monetary gain . . . these people have NO conscience. They are reaping their reward here on earth.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Mat.7:15). Wolves in sheep’s clothing? Friend, they look just like us! They speak words that SEEM to be true. They give great advice and lecture on social problems which make sense to those "in the world" (1 John 2:15-16). But friend, their motives are selfish . . . me, me, me! MANY will follow their evil ways (Mat.7:13-14). And even thought some of these wolves begin to behave in weird manners they will still be recognized as leaders in the Christian evangelical movement. BEWARE!!!

Some of these horrible wolves disgrace and humiliate themselves sexually. TRUE Christians need to make a stand against ANYONE who goes against Christ in ANY way. These leaders who do NOT really believe the Holy Word of God and who teach false doctrines should be taken out!

Many do NOT know that they are teaching falsehoods! There is an answer to this and that is: "Study your Bible and learn the Scriptures for yourselves." IF you do this, NO church leader or any so-called Bible teacher can deceive you with deceptive words that could lead you to an eternal and agonizing Hell!

IF you would do this, those who are teaching false doctrines would NOT make it very far before someone in the congregation would stand up and say "That's a LIE!"

What it boils down to is this . . . IF your eternal soul is not worth the time and effort it takes to pick up your Bible every day and SEE what God is saying, I say unto you "Woe be it unto you." IF you are foolish enough to listen to these wolves, feeding you demonic garbage that can lead only to Hell, you shall be with the many standing before that Great White Throne Judgment sooner than you think (Rev.20:11-15). PLEASE do NOT listen to these grievous wolves for they will not spare the flock. They speak perverse things, to draw away disciples after them ( Acts 20:29-30).

Each one of us shall be held responsible to KNOW the Truth! Each one of us individually are to work out our own salvation, and friend, we had better do it with fear and trembling! (Phil.2:12). IF we really want our mansion in Heaven (John 14:2-3) one day, we must put forth sincere effort into our Christians lives. We CANNOT work to accomplish our salvation, for salvation is a GIFT from God (Isa.55:1; Eph.2:8-9; Rom.3:24; 5:15-18; 6:23; Rev.22:17). I truly believe that this awesome GIFT is offered to everyone!

To work it out with fear and trembling is NOT to work for our salvation in the sense of accomplishing it, but to work out our salvation as to activate what God freely gave us . . . to see and feel it in every area of our lives. TRUE believers must KNOW God’s Word so they will NOT be led astray by the heresies of the heretics!

Are you one of those who are foolish enough to believe every word someone tells you! Are foolish enough to be led like sheep to the slaughter? Do NOT allow this to happen to you! Do NOT allow demonic deceptions, false doctrine and damnable heresies to ruin your life and your eternal destiny! Study God’s Holy, righteous and pure Word so you KNOW right from wrong!
