Charismatic Speaking in Tongues is of the Devil
Charismatics teach that speaking in tongues is a sign of being saved, and being full of the Holy Spirit. That is NOT what the Bible teaches!
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) . . . John NEVER spoke in tongues! John NEVER taught that a TRUE believer must speak in tongues or they were not saved! IF speaking in tongues is proof of salvation, as the Pentecostals CLAIM that it is . . . WHY didn't John mention tongues in his writings? BUT . . . he did NOT mention it. . . NOT even once!
What John DID say was: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. . . . (Emphasis mine). NOT one thing about speaking in tongues! John NEVER mentions "tongues" in his Gospel, or any of his letters! The word "tongues" is found 6 times in the Book of Revelation! Five of those times it refers to nations, and once, to physical tongues. (Rev.7:9; 10:11; 11:9; 13:7; 16:10; 17:15).
The Bible tells us that the "sign" of a person's salvation is a changed life (2 Cor.5:17; Eph.2:10; Col.3:10). John never mentions tongues. He never mentions baptism either. Yet so many FALSE religions today insist on baptism and speaking in tongues. Charismatic jibbering 'tongues' is of the Devil. The Biblical sign gift of tongues in Acts 2 and Acts 10 ceased by the end of the New Testament. The real gift of tongues today is simply working with different languages . . . to win souls to Christ.
Any so-called spontaneous jibbering is NOT of the Holy Spirit; but is of a spirit of antichrist (1 John 4:1-3). A spirit of antichrist is any spirit that is NOT the Holy Spirit . . . but is of the devil! It is a demonic influence! No TRUE believer should ever take part of the Charismatic movement's speaking in tongues, or of the Word of Faith movement, because they are of the Devil.
Jesus NEVER spoke in tongues . . . NOT once! NOR did Jesus ever tell us that we must speak in tongues or we would not be saved! NOT once! We are to imitate Jesus! Jesus washed His disciple's feet as an example of humility for us to follow. Jesus did preach the Gospel to others and commanded that we do so (Mat.28:19).
If speaking in Charismatic tongues was important, WHY doesn't the Bible place an emphasis on it, like the Pentecostals do? The reason for ALL of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to win lost souls to Jesus Christ; NOT to make a big display for entertainment. Charismatics have turned the house of God into an entertainment center . . . with their drums, screeching guitars, falling on the floor, rolling on the floor, laughing, barking, acting crazy! They make a mockery of decency and the Word of God. BEWARE of wolves, who come dressed in sheep's clothing.
I have been teaching the Bible for many years. I love it. I also love to write. I do much research on the articles that I write. Some times I spend days on just one article. I know what I write, whether it is articles for prison inmates, or articles for our web sites, I know what I write will influence someone, and I want to do right by God and the Truth of His Holy Word. I know that I shall be held accountable to God (Jam.3:1) for what I teach people, so I am very careful in what I write.
I have always hated false doctrines and false teachers because they lead people to Hell! And the older I get, and the more I see what is going on in the 'religious' realm . . . the more I hate it. I feel that I MUST expose heretics and their damnable heresies! It is something that is constantly on my mind. Mankind may not be happy with me, but that does NOT concern me! I am concerned only about pleasing my Lord and my God!
Charismatic tongues is dangerous, because it involves demonic spirits. It also draws unsaved people into church for the wrong reasons. Most people join Charismatic churches because of the excitement and entertainment, NOT because they mourn for their sin and want to find God. Millions go to 'church' . . . BUT, are these new fangled churches teaching correctly? Are these millions Christians? We are living in a most apostate time (1 Tim.4:1; 2 Tim.4:3-4; Rev.3:15-16). Most people have religion . . . BUT they do NOT have God or any knowledge whatsoever about the Truth of the Bible. This is why I try my best to expose Satan's works of darkness.
Speaking in Charismatic tongues is evil, and is NOT taught anywhere in the Word of God. Don't be misled by the false prophets of Pentecostalism, who speak in Charismatic tongues is of the Devil.
Tongues is the primary tool Satan uses to accelerate the ecumenical movement and bring in the one-world church (Rev. 17). This movement is NOT resulting in the unity of TRUE believers, the exaltation of Christ and Truth, nor is it evangelizing the World.
Many of these people are sincere dedicated believers. However, we must remember that Satan comes as an angel of light, as a minister of Christ, and as a minister of righteousness (2 Cor. 11:13-15). It IS possible for a dedicated believer to be deceived by the devil. Many will not agree with me that tongues have ceased . . . BUT, if you are honest with yourself, you must agree that what I have written is true and that the present-day tongues movement is doing great harm to the cause of Jesus Christ. This movement must be exposed and avoided at all cost.
Things to Consider About Tongues and Healing
#1. Those who still look for signs and wonders today are on thin ice, for the Antichrist will deceive the world with signs and wonders (Rev. 13:13-14; 2 Thes. 2:8-12).
#2. Our Lord Jesus Christ said that an evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign (Mat. 12:39).
#3. The Bible speaks of various spiritual gifts to believers, but tongues and healing are NEVER emphasized more than the other gifts (1 Cor. 12:4-11).
#4. The gifts of tongues and healing were NOT considered to be the best gifts (1 Cor. 12:28-31).
#5. It is NOT God's will that all Christians be healed (2 Cor. 12:5-10).
#6. The great man of God, the apostle Paul could not heal himself (2 Cor. 12:5-10).
#7. Paul could NOT heal Trophimus (2 Tim. 4:20).
#8. Instead of healing Timothy, Paul gave him medical advice (1 Tim. 5:23).
#9. Contrary to the modern faith healers, "love gifts" and "faith offerings" were NOT any part of the healing ministries of the disciples (Mat. 10:8-9).
#10. A Christian who has not confessed his sins and repented, CANNOT expect God to heal him of anything (Ps. 6:1-4; 41:4; 2 Chr. 7:14; Hos. 5:10-13; 1 Cor. 11:29-32; Jas. 5:14-16; 1 John 1:7-10).
#11. IF these so-called modern faith healers really had the gift of healing, they would go to hospitals and nursing homes and heal the sick, instead of writing books, holding healing meetings, and begging for money on TV (2 Tim. 4:5; Mat. 10:8-16; 1 Tim. 6:5-10).
#12. Satan does have power to heal and this will cause millions to be led astray in the coming Tribulation Period (Rev. 13:1-4, 12).
#13. The gift of tongues was given as a sign to Jews and unbelievers (Mar. 16:17; 1 Cor. 14:22).
#14. The gift of tongues was NOT unrecognizable gibberish . . . but instead the supernatural ability of some Christians to speak in foreign languages in the presence of unbelieving Jews (Acts 2:7-11).
#15. God has NEVER commanded ANY Christian to speak in unknown tongues (Mar. 16:17; Acts 2:4; 1 Cor. 12:10; 1 Cor. 14).
#16. The Bible NEVER, not even once, says that tongues is evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
#17. There is NO baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1 Corinthians 14.
#18. Paul said that all TRUE Christians were baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:13), and that all TRUE Christians were sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Eph. 4:30), BUT, he also said that all Christians did NOT speak in tongues (1 Cor. 12:29-31).
#19. The baptism of fire is the condemnation of the wicked in Hell (Mat. 3:11-12). It is NOT being "on fire for the Lord."
#20. Acts 2:3 speaks of "cloven tongues like as of fire," but the Book of Acts does NOT say anything at all about tongues of fire or a baptism of fire.
#21. If a person does not have the spirit of Christ, he/she does NOT belong to Christ (Rom. 8:9).
#22. Pentecost was NEVER a religious movement, or a religious experience. It was a Jewish feast day which always occurred fifty days after the Passover (Lev. 23:15-22 ).
#23. Jesus said that when the Holy Spirit came, He (the Holy Spirit) would not speak of Himself, because He would glorify Christ (John 16:13-14).
#24. Absolutely NO Christian, anywhere in the Bible is ever told to pray, preach, sing, or praise God in tongues.
#25. Jesus' disciples received the Holy Spirit in John 20:22, but they did NOT speak in tongues when this happened.
#26. When Paul spoke of spiritual gifts in Eph. 4:8-12, he does NOT mention tongues.
#27. There were only THREE cases in the Book of Acts where people spoke in tongues (NOT unknown tongues). These tongues were a sign to the Jews each time, because the Jews require a sign (Acts 2:1-11; 10:44-46; 19:6-8; 1 Cor. 1:22; 14:22).
#28. The former and latter rain of Joel 2 has absolutely NOTHING to do with Acts 2 or the modern-day Charismatic Movement, because the rain of Joel 2 is literal wet rain from the sky in Israel (Joel 2:1-31).
#29. Tongues are NOT even mentioned in the list of spiritual gifts in Romans 12:6-8.
#30. It is better to speak five words clearly than ten thousand with an unknown tongue that no one understands (1 Cor. 14:19).
#31. No more than three people were allowed to speak in tongues in the church assembly, and only one could speak at a time (1 Cor. 14:27).
#32. NO one was permitted to speak in tongues in the church without an interpreter (1 Cor. 14:27-28).
#33. Women were NOT allowed to speak in tongues in the church (1 Cor. 14:34-35).
#34. A religious man who does NOT bridle his tongue is deceived and he has a vain religion (Jas. 1:26).
#35. There are many "seducing spirits" are in the world and it is every Christian's duty to "try" these spirits (1 Tim. 4:1; I John 4:1; Rev. 2:2).
#36. The Holy Word of God is the standard by which we are to judge ALL doctrines (Isa. 8:20; Acts 17:11; 2 Tim. 3:16-17).
#37. Teaching BIBLE Truth about signs, healing, and tongues is NOT being hateful, mean, prejudiced, or intolerant. It is simply a matter of obeying the command to RIGHTLY DIVIDE God's Holy Word (2 Tim. 2:15).
