Blessings From God!

Deut.11:26-28 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. (KJV) . . . If Israel would obey . . . with God's ready assistance, they would live; BUT if they disobeyed and refused God's help, they would die. When our Almighty God speaks, NO man can reverse it. My friend, God has NOT changed even a little bit.

What God spoke all those years ago, still stand today! IF we obey, God will bless us. IF we disobey, God has every right to curse (punish) us. Look around you! Listen to the news! God is cursing this world this very moment! He is fed up with SIN! He is fed up with disobedience! The only thing left is God's wrath on wickedness and His curses on this evil world. Floods in one part of the country. Drought in another! Tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanoes erupting and shutting down all air travel in Europe. Tsunamis and earthquakes killing thousands! Wake up people! This is God at work! IF we do not obey, He will curse! He is cursing the disobedient! Believe it friend!

Psalms 3:8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. (KJV) . . . The blessing of salvation comes only from the Lord Jesus. And this blessing is for ALL people. . . for whosoever (John 3:16). What a blessing this is!

Psalms 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. (KJV) . . . The righteous are a special object of God's affection, and will be a subject of continual blessing. With favor, is literally like a shield, God protects them. In all places, times and circumstances, He will preserve them.

Psalms 21:3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. (KJV). . . God goes before us with the blessings of goodness.

Psalms 21:6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. (KJV) . . . When we believe, we make Christ Jesus the Source of all blessings for eternity. He is the One and Only Mediator between God and man. God has made Him exceeding glad . . . Jesus, as Messiah, for the joy that was set before Him, of redeeming a lost world by His death, endured the cross, and despised the shame and is for ever set down on the right hand of God (Mat.16:19; Luke 22:69; Ac.2:33; 5:31; 7:55-56; Rom.8:34; Heb.10:12; 12:12; 1 Pet.3:22).

Psalms 106:3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times. (KJV) . . . The blessing is limited, just to those whose principles, deeds and words are right. How "blessed" Israel would be now, IF they had "observed God's statutes" (Ps.105:45). Those who are truly blessed, are those whose hearts are devoted to God, and who live in obedience to Him. But, those whose life is not conformed to the will of God, can have NO true happiness or peace.

Psalms 109:17 As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him. (KJV) . . . Speaks of the wicked. The Jews said, when crucifying our Lord, "His blood be on us, and on our children." (Mat.27:25). Never were any words more dreadfully fulfilled.

Proverbs 10:6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. (KJV) . . . Just as blessings shall be on the head of the righteous and obedient, so shall the violence of the wicked cover their face with shame and confusion. Their violence shall be visited upon them.

Proverbs 10:7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. (KJV) . . . The righteous are blessed, honored and accepted, but the ungodly shall rot, shall perish and be cursed and detestable amongst men. The wicked is as offensive as putrid dead flesh to God.

Zechariah 8:13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. (KJV) . . . Just as Israel has been a curse among the nations, one day she shall be a blessing to all the nations around her. This will be completely fulfilled when the Jews acknowledge their Jesus as their Messiah. The restoration shall be complete, when both Israel and Judah are brought back together again!

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (KJV) . . . The spiritual blessings of justification, reconciliation, sanctification, adoption, and the accrediting of righteousness unto him, came to Abraham upon his believing God (Ro.4:3; Gal.3:6;, Jam.2:23). Christ was made a curse for us, that all those blessings through Him might come to the Gentiles; and so ALL the nations of the Earth might be blessed in Him. Also, that the Gentiles might receive the Promise of the Spirit, to be gifts and habits of grace which are the effects of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of believers, in sanctifying and sealing them. The Holy Spirit is received upon a persons' believing God (John 14:16-17; Rom.8:13; 1 Cor.12:13; Gal.3:2; 4:6; Eph.4:4; Titus 3:5-7; 1 John 2:20).

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (KJV) . . . God has blessed us with pure doctrines of the Gospel, and the abundant gifts and graces of the Holy Ghost: justification, sanctification, building up our most faith and most important, eternal life in Heaven with Him.

James 3:9-10 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. (KJV) . . . This is something like Pro.18:21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue! Two completely opposing actions should never proceed from the same agent.

Hebrews 6:7-8 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. (KJV) . . . "The Earth which drinks in" . . . is not just receiving rain on the surface, it is a soft gentle rain soaking in deep! This applies to those who have enjoyed the privilege of being a Christian, being renewed by the Holy Spirit. As the Earth is renewed by the rain, so too are we renewed by the Holy Spirit (Rom.12:2; 2 Cor.4:16; Col.3:10; Tit.3:5). There are those who will persevere and those who will "fall away." "Oft" implies, on God's part, the riches of His abounding grace, which comes spontaneously and often.

The ungodly are like thorns and briars, by wilful wickedness, they continually reject God, despite the oft-repeated movements and convictions of the Holy Spirit. The rain of Heaven falls both on the righteous and the wicked. It is up to the person to accept the spiritual rain or reject it. BEWARE!!!
